TFT Launches a New AV Access Graft

30 July 2010

TFT is excited to bring to all of its markets, the Spiral Flow™ Arteriovenous Graft (SLF™ AV Graft). This graft is designed to meet the growing challenges and demand for a substantial, cost effective, better performing hemodialysis access device.

The Spiral Flow™ AV Graft should lower the global costs of treating patients with End Stage Renal Disease requiring hemodialysis by minimizing the rate of complications caused by intimal hyperplasia – the number one failure mode for AV accesses. By creating normal, spiral blood flow into the venous limb of the access, the SLF™ Graft will minimize/eliminate turbulence as a cause of intimal hyperplasia. The SLF™ AV Graft creates the same blood flow pattern that occurs in the natural AV fistula. A blood flow pattern that surely contributes to the long term patency rates mature AV fistulae are well known for.

The new Spiral Flow™ AV Graft is available in a single 6mm x 45cm configuration and features the patented Spiral Flow Inducer and unique Inducer Indicator Ring to aid in the proper cannulation and servicing of the graft.

The SLF™ AV Graft is supported by several website based tools. The first is a Vital Information Card containing user information on the proper handling of the graft. There is also a series of Technical Sheets that detail several aspects of care and interventions to the graft to include; cannulation and revision techniques.

See the “SLF™ AV Graft” section of this website for additional information.
